Who we are
About The Curaosity Collective
Founded by Amy Yackowski, The Curaosity Collective is a portfolio of creative concepts organized around a single, persistent belief — that human beings are capable of more than the world has designed for them.
Where this came from
Built from the gap
Twenty years inside organizational change work taught me the same lesson over and over: the gap between a strategy and what actually sticks is almost never a talent problem. It is a design problem.
We announce transformations in town halls, hand them to middle management, and wonder why nothing changes six months later. I built a practice around that gap — part strategist, part facilitator, part technologist — designing the operating rhythms, narratives, and recognition systems that make a shift stick after the consultants leave.
The Curaosity Collective is what happened when I stopped treating the side projects as distractions and started naming them as the work itself. They are all connected by the same question: What if we designed for what humans are actually capable of?
The name
Why 'Curaosity'?
Because it is not a generic noun. It is a proper name — a signal that this is a different kind of curiosity. One with intention, design, a little bit of irreverence and the right amount of challenge baked in.
The misspelling is on purpose. The 'a' is the 'and' of curiosity + chaos: you cannot have one without the other. Most of the best things here are.
Our ethos
The Curaosity Connection, annotated
These six lines are the connective tissue of the Collective. Each one shows up in the work through a different concept.
- Every person has more capacity & brilliance than the world has bothered to see.
Drives The 4th Path and Painted Porch Strategies — seeing capacity that resumes and org charts miss.
- Every organization has the potential to author & lead epic shift.
Drives Painted Porch Strategies — organizations as authors of their own epic shift.
- Every milestone deserves confetti — not just the ones on the standard list.
Drives Ridiculous Reveals and I'm Too Much Club — the right to celebrate every version of a life.
- Every story is worth telling.
Drives StoryCraft Sessions, The Moira-tizer, and Storied Sip — story as infrastructure.
- Every idea & question is worth exploring.
Drives The Idea Prospector and Will This Kill Me? — every question deserves a well-built answer.
- Curiosity is the currency of courageous ideas and extraordinary experiences.
Drives all of it: the curiosity that turns ordinary into extraordinary.
If that's you, then you're in the right place.
How we work
Four practice principles
Design before execution
We do the upstream work first — the narrative, the system, the human case — so the build has a backbone.
Whole humans, not roles
We start with the person: their gifts, their values, their context. The rest is scaffolding.
Celebrate the overlooked
Milestones that don't make the standard list often matter most. We build rituals for those.
Play as a serious method
Mischief, joy, and absurdity are not distractions. They are entry points for attention and change.
Boundaries
What we say no to
- Change theater — performative launches without follow-through.
- Ideas without a pathway — concepts that never become reachable.
- Milestones that only count if they're on the standard list.
- Polish that hides a missing thesis — looking finished before the thinking is real.
The structure
How our collective operates

The bar
How a concept enters the collective
A new idea has to pass this test before it earns a place in the portfolio.
- A real WHAT IF — a question that won't let go.
- A human it serves — not a market, a person.
- A medium suited to it — the right form for the idea.
- A named owner — someone who will carry it forward.
